Description: I bought the ticket to this concert mainly because it was supposed to be conducted by Tugan Sokhiev. Mahler is definitely not my man, and this concert didn't make any change to these feelings. There was something positive however: first of all, the symphony started like Bruckner's Eight and ended like Bruckner's Fifth ! Sounds maybe redicilous but I heard it that way (and I hear Bruckner everywhere ! ). Many charming solo's of different instruments (flute, clarinette, horn, violin...) made this symphony more interesting and fresh. Without them it would have been a dull experience, with much noise and uninteresting music.
