Description: This definitely was no triumph, but not so bad either. The Scherzo sounded quite loose, there was not tension to keep it very convincing. The Adagio was, as often the case, very disappointing. It also lacked tension and the building towards the climax was hasty : Far of being anyone's "Himmelsflug". But there was also some good moments, like the end of the first movement. I enjoyed the horns and followed the timpani with special interest, as it has a fine role in the symphony.
