Description: The evening started with Stravinsky's Symphony of Psalms. This performance of this work did not impress. Also the contrast with the beautiful text and music sounded too strange to my ear. There's some fine British/Irish composers like C.V. Stanford who has made many strikingly beautiful choral works on the text of Psalms. Stravinsky was too stravinsky in this case !
