Description: This was the first time for Nicholas Collon to perform Bruckner with this orchestra. I didn't expect too much as I listened the first performance from the radio, and it did not promise so much. But surprise, surprise; the radio sound lied. The orchestra sounded rich and there was much volume where needed. The playing was lively, but Collon also gave music time to breath. It was a lovely balanced performance by Collon and the RSO, and I'll wait with interest to hear more Bruckner from them.
