Description: ...but this performance was entirely different. I have to confess I was completely out with this very secular sounding performance but there were many who enjoyed the concert very much and good so. I am used with Celibidache that were are like "at the edge of the universe" with this Symphony experiencing something tremendously amazing. For me this performance was "just music" and nothing to wonder at. But this Maestro had this kind of approach to Bruckner's Eight and that what it should be. To find one's own way. We listeners also hear and experience music so differently according to our individual tastes and premises. What is nectar for some might be near poison for others. This was not poison but an experience that made me feel even more grateful to Celibidache.
